Breakfast With Santa: Gingerbread House Decorating Contest
Join us for a Gingerbread House decorating contest at Breakfast with Santa! All entries will be displayed on December 8th, and winners will be announced that morning. There are two age categories:
- Preschool through 3rd Grade
- 4th Grade through 8th Grade
Every child who enters will receive a free dress pass, and one overall winner from each age group will be awarded a gift card to Target.
**Gingerbread House Contest Rules: **
Students must construct and decorate their houses at home. Houses can be made from graham crackers or gingerbread (house kits are allowed), but parents may only assist with the construction of the structure.
The entire display, including the base, must not exceed 12” x 15” (the size of a standard cookie sheet).
Students should take primary responsibility for the decorating! - All decorations on or around the house must be edible!
Please drop off all decorated houses at the Parish Center on Friday, December 6th, during the drop-off period from 7:30 AM to noon. Late entries will not be accepted.
Make sure to include the student’s name and grade on the base of the house, where it is clearly visible.
Winners will be announced at 11:00 AM during Breakfast with Santa!
**Important Note: ** Please remember to pick up your gingerbread house at the end of the event. We cannot save any that remain after clean-up, and unclaimed houses (including their bases) will be disposed of.
For fairness, please ensure that your child is the only one decorating the gingerbread house, and keep parent involvement to a minimum. Thank you for your cooperation! If you have any questions, please contact Laura McCarthy at (916) 541-3833.
