Students in 1st – 4th grade participate in the Little Dribbler
program. This is an instructional, recreational basketball
league. Students in 5th – 8th grade participate on our JV
and Varsity teams at both the Competitive and Recreational level.
St. Ignatius fields more that 15 teams each basketball
season.
Each St. Ignatius student planning to participate in a St.
Ignatius school sport must have on file three forms in the
office: 1) their physician signed medical release
form; 2)Athletics Emergency form; and 3)signed
acknowledgement form for Concussion, Sudden Cardiac
Arrest, and Opiod fact sheets. The forms
are due prior to tryouts (Girls
Volleyball and JV & Varsity basketball) or the first practice for
all other sports.
Basketball practices begin soon! All players will receive
notification of their team placement. Practices are closed
to all except named coaches and players. All participants
must have their medical release form on file in the office and
completed the online Athletics Emergency form found on School
Speak.
A big CONGRATULATIONS to Boys Green Varsity Comp Basketball for
winning the Sacred Heart tournament! The team defeated OLA
in the final match to win the championship.

4th – 8th grades.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Varsity Boys for winning the 2020 PAL
Championship. The Varsity Boys defeated St. John
Evangelist 61-32 in the Championship game.
CONGRATULATIONS to the JV Boys for winning the 2020 PAL
Championship. The JV Boys defeated OLA 29-20 in the
Championship game.
