The Technology curriculum is aligned with the national technology
standards outlined by ISTE (International Society for Technology
in Education), CSTA (Computer Science Teachers Association), and
the new AI for K-12 initiative.
The AI for K-12 initiative is developing national guidelines for
AI education for K-12, an online, curated resource Directory to
facilitate AI instruction, and a community of practitioners,
researchers, resource and tool developers focused on the AI for
K-12.
The guidelines are organized around the 5 Big Ideas in AI. The
guidelines will serve as a framework to assist standards writers
and curricula developers on AI concepts, essential knowledge, and
skills by grade band.
The technology classes are being revised from teaching basic
computer skills that will be folded into the classroom curriculum
and focusing more on emerging technology trends such as
artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things
(iOT), metaverse, etc. .
Our students are at the center of everything we do. As educators,
our foremost goal is to prepare them for their future.
with the skills and knowledge they need to learn effectively
and live productively in an increasingly global and digital
society.
