Carla MacDonald Scholarship
In 2012, after 26 years of teaching at St. Ignatius Parish School, Mrs. Carla MacDonald retired. In honor of Mrs. MacDonald’s service to our school and community, the Carla MacDonald Scholarship was created. This Annual $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a current 8th grade student.
The criteria for this scholarship was established based on all the virtues that Mrs. MacDonald blessed our school community with. This student exhibits the following:
• A Sense of Humor
• Humbleness
• Working to his/her potential
• Catholicity-living their faith daily by their
interactions with others, “walks the walk”
• Shows compassion-who puts the needs of others first “A
Student For and With Others”
• Is a team player-wants what is best for the team but would not
hesitate to disagree or challenge the majority,
• Someone who listens thoughtfully and respects others,
others
• Fellow classmates know they can depend on him/her
• This student makes a difference with their
presence-living the Magis making the day better in a
variety of ways
