What is the Immaculate Conception?

What is the Immaculate Conception?

On December 8, the Church celebrates this special privilege given to Mary. At the liturgy we thank God for all his blessings he has given to the people of our country. And we can thank Mary for watching over and protecting our people.

It’s a common misconception that the “Immaculate Conception” refers to the Roman Catholic teaching that the Virgin Mary conceived Jesus. The Immaculate Conception instead refers to Mary’s conception in the womb of her mother, St. Anne. The idea is that Mary was conceived without the stain of original sin, or born free from original sin.

Here’s a clip of 5th and 8th grade watching the live stream praying in solidarity.
